Markdown and static sites have, thankfully, simplified publishing and managing docs content in a large open source project. However, this tool chain may be a step backward when it comes to authoring high quality content. Why do users need to configure their own spell check? Why am I manually wrapping lines likes it’s 1940? A discussion of the docs contribution experience, and the tips I’ve picked up on.
